Hi, My name is George Munoz

Hi, I’m a counselor based in the Golden area and also a tattoo artist. I have created a private practice where I offer a range of services including tattoo therapy, talk therapy, and play therapy.

Helping people and creating art have always been my two biggest passions, and I’m fortunate to have found a way to blend them together. Mountain Coast Therapy is a space where everyone is welcome—a safe and supportive environment for healing, growth and self expression.

I hold a Master’s degree in counseling from Regis University and have been practicing since 2022, and have been a tattoo artist since 2013. The inspiration for tattoo therapy came from both my personal experiences with tattoos and the stories of my clients. I began noticing a powerful pattern: many people found an emotional release and healing while processing therapy grief or trauma through tattoos. For those navigating challenges such as grief or trauma, tattoo become a way to reclaim their narrative and find catharsis.

My work is rooted in the belief that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and I’m honored to help clients find their path—whether through art, therapy, or a combination of both.

My Approach

why tattoo therapy

Our journey together begins with a consultation—a chance for us to meet, connect, and determine if we’re a right fit for each other. During this, time I’ll answer any questions you may have about my approach and what to expect.

The experience I offer with tattoo therapy is truly one-of-a-kind—a creative and meaningful alternative to the traditional method of emotional healing. Whether you’re navigating grief or processing trauma, this approach blends therapeutic techniques with the art of tattooing to create a deeply personal transformative experience.

Have you wondered if traditional talk therapy is the right fir for you? Or maybe you’ve experience a sense of emotional release or catharsis during your own tattoo journey. You’re not alone—I’ve been there too. I have personally used tattoos to process my own grief, and it opened my eyes to a powerful alternative path to healing.

We all approach therapy and healing differently, and that’s okay. Tattoo therapy is designed for those who might not connect with traditional methods or are simply looking for a unique way to process emotions and move forward. It’s about creating a space where your story, emotions, and healing come together in a meaningful and lasting way.
